Dorothy Yerian

Dorothy Yerian, 76, of Mercer, passed away on April 21, 2024 at AHN Wexford.
Dorothy was born to the late George and Letha (Nolan) Hites on December 15, 1947 at
their home. Dorothy worked as bus driver for Mercer County Transit.

Dorothy was a kind soul who would be available to help anyone who asked. She loved
being social and being around people. She could strike up a conversation with anyone she
would meet in her travels, and she would enjoy every minute of that interaction. Dorothy
also enjoyed her fair share of shopping with family and friends when they were not
spending time with each other away from the stores.

Dorothy is survived by her daughter Christine Knauf and Christine’s father Donald
Knauf. Dorothy also leaves five sisters to cherish her memory: Rita Himes, Birdy Mays,
Margaret Woodworth, Patty Adams, and Sherry Richardson.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents and her late husband Michael Yerian who
preceded her in death in April of 2021. She also had three brothers precede her in death:
Chuck Hites, Cork Hites, and Timmy Hites.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Rose Simplicity Cremation and Funeral
Center, Inc., 200 S. Erie St, Mercer, PA.
