her Lord on Sunday, November 3, 2024, in Grove City, PA. She was 90 years old. Ruth was

born at Grove City Hospital on July 10, 1934. As Ruth’s life led her to a few different

locations to live, her life’s path eventually brought her back to her hometown. Ruth devoted

her life to the care of others, both as a cherished home health care nurse and a loving

matriarch.

As a child, Ruth spent time with her father fishing and with both parents gardening` and

Ruth graduated from Grove City High School where she was an enthusiastic and energetic

member of the cheerleading squad. She furthered her education at Butler Community

College and enjoyed her career as a home health nurse. Ruth thrived in her profession and

was known for her unwavering kindness and dedication to her patients.

In her personal time, Ruth was an avid gardener, taking care of both flower gardens and

food gardens as well as having the special skill of canning. She was a talented seamstress,

a wonderful cook and had a beautiful singing voice. Ruth loved taking long walks with her

family and especially enjoyed the trees that came together to look like archways and the

beautiful colors of Fall. Her hobbies and activities brought joy not only to her but also to

those who had the pleasure of experiencing her talents. Each activity was pursued with

passion and was a testament to her fervor, creativity and love for family.

Ruth, with her strong faith in God and beautiful voice, loved to sing in the church choir. She

especially loved flowers. Her favorite flower was yellow roses. Ruth loved the dogwood

tree and angels. She favored the color blue which brought out the beauty of her blue eyes.

Ruth filled her home with warmth and kindness and made it feel very welcoming to anyone

who visited.

Ruth was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her

children, LouAnn Mitchell, Douglas Berk (Kathy), Timothy Carroll, Richard Carroll, and Jane

Miller (Ken); her sister Peggy Dailey (Don); 15 grandchildren; 31+ great-grandchildren; and 5

great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Floyd (Pop-pop)

Stinedurf, mother Isabelle (Nangy) Stinedurf, as well as her eldest daughter Deborah

Peluchette, and eldest son Frank (Skip) Berk (Patti). Her children were her heart, and her

pride and joy were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought a smile to her

face whenever she saw them.

Ruth's life was a profound example of service, strength and love, touching the hearts of

everyone she met. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered for her nurturing

spirit, her beautiful dimples, her unwavering generosity, her wonderful way of telling

stories, her quick wit, her strength to stand in the midst of adversity and the deep love she

had for her family.

The family of Ruth would like to give a special thank you to the ICU and hospice medical

staff at AHN Grove City Hospital for their exceptional care and compassion during her last

days. It is with great appreciation that they cared for this amazing person, our mom,

grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother and friend.

There will be a private viewing with the immediate family and a joyful celebration of life is
