Kimberly L. Farrell

Kimberly "Kimmy" Lynn (Reitmeyer) Farrell, 53 of Mercer, passed away unexpectedly on the early morning of May 13, 2023 at UPMC Jameson in New Castle. Kimmy was born at St. Clair Hospital in Mt. Lebanon on November 30th, 1969, a daughter of Geraldine (Supan) Reitmeyer and the late Donald Reitmeyer. She graduated from Grove City High School, class of 1988, and went on to attend Sharon Regional School of Nursing, class of 1992. After passing the Registered Nursing exam, Kimmy worked for a Drug Free testing clinic in Arkansas. She later worked for Legacy Banquet Center in Grove City. Most recently, Kimberly was a loving homemaker who cared deeply for her family. On September 13, 1996, she married her beloved husband, Mike Farrell. The two shared more than 26 years of marriage together while raising their son, Michael Farrell. Remembered fondly by loved ones, Kimmy had a great sense of humor and was a jokester. She enjoyed frequenting the casino and gambling. She was a Believer in Christ and shared her love of Jesus with those around her. Kimmy will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Left to cherish the memory of Kimmy are her husband, Mike, and son, Michael, both of Mercer; mother, Geraldine Reitmeyer of Mercer; loving sisters, Dawn (Brian) Guy, and Debra (Tom) Wimer, all of Volant; nieces, Christine Bater, Laura O'Connor, Kori Gresham, and Danielle Wimer; and nephews, Justin & Nathan Guy, Adam Wimer, and Mike Swientanski. Kimberly was preceded in death by her father, Donald Reitmeyer, on October 12, 2022. The family wishes to honor Kimberlys life privately at this time.
