Jean Louise Fontaine

Jean L. Fontaine, 76, of Mercer, passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2025. Jean was born to the late Raymond and Helen Fontaine on March 22, 1948. 

After high school, Jean joined the workforce as a dog breeder, breeding the most beautiful Great Pyrenees dogs for shows. Jean also enjoyed hunting, but truly devoted her life to her dogs. She made sure that she took every step possible to make sure those dogs were cared for.

Jean is survived by her brother Ray Fontaine and her sisters Joyce, Shirley, and Regina, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Rose Simplicity Cremation and Funeral Center, Inc. 200 S Erie St. Mercer, Pa 16137. There will be no services at this time.
