Ethel J. Toth

Ethel J Toth, 82, of Hermitage, PA, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2024. Ethel was born to Carvin and Mary Umstead on January 3, 1942. Ethel worked as a library secretary at Butler Community College after graduating high school. Ethel traveled all over the country, collecting knick knacks and oddities from wherever she went. She enjoyed tending to her gardening and watched all kinds of birds while doing so. Ethel also had a great passion for ceramics and creating great works of pottery. Ethel is survived by her son John (Becky) Hilles and her grandchildren, John (Amanda) Robert Hilles and Erin Hilles. She also leaves behind a sister Carolee Fabric to cherish her memory. Ethel was preceded in death by her parents and her partner Richard Whitley. Ethel was also preceded in death by Matt Fabric, her brother in law.
