Esther May Rockwell

Esther M. Rockwell, 97 of Hempfield Twp, Greenville, passed away on September 7, 2023 at home. Esther was born on May 1, 1926 in Sharon to the late Jacob and Sarah (Barlet) Herrmann. She was a woman of strong faith and was very active in her ministry group: God's Daughters. She would host bible studies, visit the elderly and sick, and help people however she could. She also enjoyed golfing and bowling. Most of all she loved her family. Left to cherish her memory are her children: Thomas Means of Sharon; Jeanie Loreno of Greenville; and Robin (David) Evans of Daytona, FL, eight grandchildren: Mark Means; Jamie Means; Danielle Means; Lottie Loreno-Yeager; Paul Loreno; Lynette Loreno; Chris Evans; and Robert Evans, and nineteen great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Esther was preceded in death by her husbands: Eugene Means and John Rockwell, her son: Dan Means, an infant son: David, grandson; Mike Means, and an infant grandson: Daniel. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Rose Simplicity Cremation & Funeral Center, Inc. 200 S. Erie Street, Mercer. There will be no public services.
