Dorothy M. Williams

Dorothy M. Williams, 86, of New Castle, PA, passed away of a short illness December 18, 2024 at UPMC Jameson Hospital. She was born February 3, 1938, to the late Ethel Doyle and George McConnell in New Wilmington, PA. She was married for 61 years to Mainard Williams who passed away in 2022. Mrs. Williams was a retired director for the City Rescue Mission Covenant House Ministries. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, as well as participating in Church activities. 

She is survived by a son, Michael E. Williams, of New Castle; a grandson, Michael R. Williams, of New Castle and a sister, Sharon Tenser, of Durham, NC.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Mainard, and her parents. 

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Rose Simplicity Cremation and Funeral Center, Inc., 200 S. Erie Street, Merce, PA 16137.

A memorial service will be held at Highland Presbyterian Church, 708 Highland Ave, New Castle, PA 16101, at 11:00 a.m. Friday January 3, 2025, with Pastor Richard Kinney, officiating.
