Charles E. Gaggini

Charles E. Gaggini, 74 of East Lackawannock Twp, Mercer, passed away on November 18, 2022 at UPMC Passavant. Charles was born in Kittanning on July 7, 1948 to the late Oswald and Maude (Wolfe) Gaggini. Charles worked as a Machinist for many years at GE in Grove City. Charles was Catholic by faith and enjoyed fishing and hunting and being outdoors. He also enjoyed camping at Farma in Hadley with his family, running the Bingo there for numerous years. He also ran many other activities at Farma such as corn roasts and chinese auctions. He also enjoyed woodworking. He loved his little dog Heidi as well as loved spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. Charles married his beloved wife, Linda (Ion) Gaggini on August 23, 1969, she survives at home. In addition to his wife Charles is survived by his children; Marlene Gaggini and fiance James Walls of Mercer, Edward Gaggini and wife Jo Lyn of Hermitage, and Jeremy Gaggini and wife Stacy of Sharon, grandchildren; Lindsey, Nicolas, Anthony, Elia, and Addison, siblings; James Gaggini and wife Pamela, Lloyd Gaggini and companion Judy Vascik, and Margaret Hetrick and husband Kevin. In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his grandson; Steven Gaggini, and sisters; Josephine Ion and Elizabeth Bundy. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Rose Simplicity Cremation & Funeral Center, Inc. 200 S. Erie St., Mercer, where visitation will be from 4 pm - 7 pm on Tuesday, November 22. A funeral service will take place at 11 am on Wednesday, November 23, at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Mercer Citizens Cemetery.
