The most crucial mistake we could possibly make in life is being reluctant to be who we truly are. Pretending to be someone we’re not, in order to receive attention and love since we are not able to give it to ourselves. Criticizing ourselves persistently about our internal and external beauty. Too frightened to speak our minds because we believe that what we have to say is irrelevant and everything we do, we are making a fool of ourselves.
Why do so many of us suffer in life, with this internal battle? Well, maybe somewhere down our path in life, somebody impacted us negatively. Maybe at one point in life, we were bullied. Perhaps we are or were the victim of mental/physical abuse. If none of those possibilities resonate with you, did you ever consider that just maybe, the source came from your own mind?
What if I told you that you can change those torturous beliefs? That I, myself was trapped in this brutal mindset for at least 11 years of my existence. Although I look back at those years of my life and cringe thinking about how much beauty in life I was too blind to see, I am forever thankful that I no longer open the doors for the cruel demons to live inside my mind. Regardless of where the depleted self-confidence we are struggling with stems from, I am here to tell you that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I have decided to compile the torturous moments and the vicious thoughts that I experienced in this book and now I am here, brave enough to unfold these stories with all of you. I hope these personal experiences embolden as well as uplift all of you who are currently struggling with self-acceptance and love or at one point in life did. To be bold enough to embrace all that is a part of you, as purely enough. Let me be your guide through the dark, gloomy tunnel.
With love and guidance,
